Knowing your tools is essential to producing the designs hidden within your mind. At the Design Project Center (DPC), aka the Senior Lab, we have a few tools that are extremely useful to our senior class. They are the Printer, the Scanner, and the Projector and in combination they are extraordinarily useful to design productiveness and in class presentation.
Below are the Notes that Trevor and I gave out to the class during our presentation on these tools.

2. Select RGB2 on the projector by pressing the RGB button on the remote.
3. Make sure that no EXT is selected on the document reader.
4. Enjoy.

For automatic duplex printing select FIle > Print > Printer > two sided as seen below.
Manual Duplex (vertical):
For side 1:
• Side to be printed should be face up
• If a pre punched page, the punched side should be to the right of the tray
• Letterhead should point towards the front of the tray
For side 2:
• Side to be printed should be face up (and pre-printed side face down)
• Top of page should point towards the front of the tray
• If a pre punched page, the punched side should be to the left of the tray

USING THE SCANNER
1. Open HP Scan pro
2. Select your source, output type, and resolution
3. Check other options if needed
4. Select destination (Image File by default)
5. Hit new scan
6. Crop to desired scan, or use resize function in Basic > Resize
7. Hit accept, name, and select location of file
Do you remember the equation for figuring out the correct dpi?
scale factor X quality factor X line screen = digital resolution
