Who are we online? What face to we show the world when we are just a click away? And, most importantly, what do we want–what are we willing to let people see?
More and more employers are looking online for information about potential employees. Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social networking technologies are becoming ever more prevalent to how we communicate with each other.
At least one in five employers are searching social media sites to screen potential employees, and about 1/3 of them find information that leads to rejection of the candidate. This is a big deal.
Which is why it is time to get smart about social networking. We can make our online face to the world a positive, we can show are selves in a positive light.

Remember Anything you put online can be seen and used against you by others. It doesn’t matter if you are running for Miss America, Vice President, or looking for a design job.
